REVOLUTIONARY IDEA TO CONTROL INSTRUMENTS BY YOUR MOBILE PHONE.

MIT media have developed an app to control your digital instruments through your mobile phone. An augmented reality app let you draw connections between real lifE objects.
You just point your mobile camera towards the instrument . The instruments digital control panel will come to the mobile screen, from there you can control the instruments.

The app called “ Reality Editor” is made by a team of MIT media . The aim is to replace the use of internet by with more direct concept “ Connected objects” . Main part of the ambition is network is  “De centralized”
According to the CEO of the MIT media.company :  Instead of controlling the instruments by sending the data all over the world (by internet) you just control with your gadgets
You are also safe from the risk of hacking the data from the cloud.

This idea arrives in the wake of more and more instruments being controlled by online applications.  Wi-fi, Bluetooth or NFC standards are being used to work different objects like Car to smoke alarms.

At present compatible instruments are identified by stickers similar to QR codes.  Later it will be replaced by object recognition rather than this sort of identification

GOOGLE's QUANTUM COMPUTER TO BE 100 MILLION TIMES FASTER THAN YOUR COMPUTER

Google and NASA announced they are on their operations to launch worlds fastest computer D-Wave X2 Quantum computer which they say 100 million times faster than a traditional computer chip. It can answer certain problems within seconds rather than within years.

Google director of engineering, Hartmut Neven, said: “For a specific, carefully crafted proof-of-concept problem we achieve a 100-million-fold speed-up.”

In a blog post he added: “We found that for problem instances involving nearly 1,000 binary variables, quantum annealing significantly outperforms its classical counterpart, simulated annealing. It is more than 108 times faster than simulated annealing running on a single core.
“We also compared the quantum hardware to another algorithm called Quantum Monte Carlo. This is a method designed to emulate the behaviour of quantum systems, but it runs on conventional processors.
“While the scaling with size between these two methods is comparable, they are again separated by a large factor sometimes as high as 108.”

VIRTUAL REALITY : GOOGLE's NEXT VENTURE

Here is how it works. You should hold your phone in front of you, and slowly turn in a circle to film
the scene all around you.  Normally it take about 30 seconds to film. Then the app converts the image into 3D.  Google have launched last week an app work with the camera of smart phone to enable virtual reality. The App lets you take 3D panoramic pictures that you can view in googles headset Cardboard developed to view the pictures in virtual reality.

The phone start taking pictures in front, back and side  and you feel you are really there.

It is really a powerful way to feel the moment. Google says.

Other tech big shots like Samsung and FB also working on the same subject . For that face book has been working with VR goggle maker Oculus and Samsung also partnered with same team to attain this task.

Google have teamed up with action cam maker GoPro which help the common users to creat videos of virtual reality.
