.18mm!! This is the thickness of a TV. LG unveiled the prototype of ultra thin rolling OLED TV. Outcome of a a substantial hard work of about 10 years. Its true; this is not the first time we are seeing/hearing the rolling TV. But LG's step is far beyond its competitors as it simply differ inconception. This technology can revolutionize not only TV but computer displays, smartphones etc in the future.
So how the rolling TV is going to become your favorite when it become available in the market? Primarily because of its portability . It can be simply roll it in to a bag and take anywhere. Ultra lite weight TV will be simply irresistible.
LG is planning to increase the size of the TV beyond the present 18 inch.
LG have accomplished this achievement by developing technology to deposit its organic light emitting diodes on plastic substrate rather than glass.
Most probably LG have more plans with the rolling display. Lets wait till LG breaks the silence.
